We have been at the forefront of engaging with coffee farmers and ensuring sustainability in its supply chain ever since its inception of coffee operations.
In the early days of the Coffee Division, the coffee trade was controlled by the Coffee Board, and the growers delivered their coffee to the curing works of their choice.
Our company was a preferred place for many growers even then. However, consequent to the liberalization of the markets during the early 1990s, we continued to retain the confidence of the growers due to timely payments as well as personal connection with them.
Subsequently, we have adopted sustainable practices, such as Rain Forest Alliance Certification in collaboration with the coffee growers to move towards sustainable production. We have an agronomist dedicated to meeting the farmers and assisting in various activities, certifications etc.
